Taped Up

I think that one of the worse things about the tenckhoff catheter is all the tape & sticky dressing you have to use on your skin. The constant putting on and ripping off ends up being painful.

While I have savlon and germaline to rub on the skin (and I recommend doing that) I have found that getting the sticky residue off is a must to help the irritation.

I therefore use;

Zoff

Now, they are very very greasy and smell like nothing I have ever smelt before (but not completely unpleasant) but they do work.

Before I have a shower, I pull all the dressings and tape off and use the Zoff to remove all the sticky residue – then it’s into the shower.

They cost me about £5.00 from my local pharmacy but I believe they are available on prescription.
