Taped Up

As my new About page confirms, I started Haemodialysis in Oct 2017 and in June 2018 I started Home Haemodialysis.

One of the biggest differences between the unit and being at home is being alone. I know this is stating the bleeding obvious, but I found I’ve had to adjust a lot. But my adjusting will be another person’s Dialysis Hack!

The first thing I had to figure out was putting the Anticoagulant into the machine. So I have started to tape the Red Port onto the arm of the chair closest to the machine.

The port is facing me so I can do the injection one handed and the tape being at the top of the port keeps it steady.

Happy Injecting!
